So, How Does it Work?
Contact us at Eugene Skin Divers Supply, or visit the dive shop in person and sign up for the next available class.
You will need to purchase a knife or cutting tool, primary light, backup light, and a marker light. Don't forget you get a student discount at the dive shop!
You will also need to bring all the gear you bought for your Open Water course (Mask, Snorkel, Boots, Fins, and D/SMB w/whistle) to the pool session and check out weekend. We’ll provide the rest of the gear while you’re taking the class.
Complete the online eLearning Knowledge Development portion of the course from the comfort of your home.
Meet for an orientation with your PADI Certified Diving Instructor at the dive shop.
Attend the Confined Water training session at a local pool.
Conclude your certification by completing the required Advanced Open Water Checkout Dives. This typically takes place at Mike's Beach Resort in the beautiful Puget Sound, WA. (Ask about our local options)
The PADI Advanced Open Water SCUBA Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under supervision from our highly-trained PADI Instructors. This course builds on what you've already learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

What You Learn
The Knowledge and skills you get in the Advanced Open Water Course vary with your interests and adventures you have, but will include:

The Fun Stuff
The Puget Sound has lots of awesome sea life, and students often encounter the Giant Pacific Octopus, Wolf Eels, Giant Sun Stars, and plenty more!
You also get to complete 5 different adventure courses. You might try your hand at night diving, deep diving, peak performance, buoyancy, altitude, navigation, and much more. Each of these adventure dives may count towards the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course.
